On Wednesday, February 29, 2012, a delegation of the American coastguards visited the Port of San Pedro in order to enquérir itself of the situation of sedentary harbor from the point of view of the execution of the provisions of the International code for the safety of the ships and the harbor installations (Code ISPS).
The American experts evaluated the Port of San Pedro on the basis of criterion envisaged in the application of code ISPS. It is a question for Management of the PASP of gaining the confidence of the economic operators as well under area as with the international one.
The Managing director, Hilaire Marcel Lamizana which received the American experts, confirmed the engagement of the harbor authority as for the effective application of code ISPS to the Port of San Pedro “… You note with us, the availability and the will to implement code ISPS through the plans of safety which we set up…. ”.
Mrs. Karen Jones, Chef of the American delegation greeted the efforts of the Harbor authority and east is delighted to see the important rate of activities in the Port after the crisis postélectorale.
